Mantoloking - Through The Lens tells the story of the people of Mantoloking over the last 135 years. This is their history, a heritage that needed to be recaptured, a history to be enjoyed.

Originally published in 2001, the first edition sold out quickly. Jersey Shore Publications in conjunction with The Mantoloking Historical Society is pleased to bring readers the new "Centennial Edition" on the anniversary of Mantoloking's 100th year as an incorporated town. This new edition contains additional pages and photographs compiled by town historian Anne L. Benedict, a new full color dust jacket, and more. This is a very limited edition—only 500 copies have been printed.

The men and women of Mantoloking come to life on the pages of this unique book. Through this incomparable collection of classic photographs, readers will experience the culture and history of Mantoloking "through the lens."

This fascinating book is a chronological mosaic of the past: a history related to the reader by historian Anne L. Benedict. The book begins in 1872 and covers the main events of the history of Mantoloking up to the present. The book is divided into three sections: the Borough of Mantoloking, The Church of St. Simon-by-the-Sea, and the Mantoloking Yacht Club.

With more than 260 photographs, maps, illustrations, and historic documents, this 192 page coffee table book traces more than 135 years of growth, accomplishments, and individuals in this unique Jersey Shore town and invokes memories of days gone by.

People may move around the world, but they return to Mantoloking, a land of beautiful sunsets and wonderful friends.
